This engaging course covers four main topics. Each module plays a vital role in reducing liability for your business and increasing survivability for your employees.
Section 1: A Brief History of Active Killer Events
The best way to understand a problem is to study its progression and evolution. This section includes events from the 1960's until today, and examines each event's similarities and differences. Current actions and future trends are also discussed.
Section 2: Prevention
The best way to save lives is for an Active Killer event to not happen in the first place. This section covers multiple signs and symptoms exhibited by those thinking of harming others. Learning common pre-attack indicators and the phases that an Active Killer will go through will enable students to see potential problems and prevent violence from erupting.
Section 3: Survival
If you find yourself in a violent situation, how are you going to survive until help arrives? This section begins our GO-BARRICADE-FIGHT system. Learn how to find alternate exits, figure out the best place to make a stronghold, and discover ordinary items that can be used as improvised weapons.
Section 4: Countermeasures
What do you do if you cannot escape and cannot find a stronghold? You may have to FIGHT. This section covers tips and techniques to increase your chances of survival. Also included is what to do when police arrive, looking for secondary devices, and additional ways to protect your workplace.
